Chances are that the little youngster will be partial to toys. Aside from planning a baby shower in his/her honour, you can also welcome the new addition into your life with a stuffed animal welcome basket.
Ask each attending guest to bring a little stuffed animal for the newborn. Anything from monkeys to alligators to bumble bees or whatever else they can come up with. Fill the basket with all these wonderful creatures to ensure that the kid will have fun for years to come. Place it front and centre so it will appear to be a group of friends welcoming everyone to this beautiful baby shower.
You can also add other toys to your shower table. Items such as a number board or a bucket filled with building blocks sure add a nice touch. The important thing is to have fun with it!
