Casual Arrangement
It's Casual
One of the most important things to consider when creating flower arrangements is that they reflect the occasion. Large Oceana roses lend their beauty and wonderful scent to a formal table. But what about something for more casual get-togethers with friends and family? Here's a simple arrangement that can be created on a moment's notice. The vessel of choice is an old enamelware coffee or tea pot. You can also use a glass vase.
  • Delphinium - Trim the stems and place them haphazardly into your flower vessel. Try and use a few different varieties like purple, white, pink, mauve and blue.
  • Daisies - They're simple, inexpensive and fun. Daisies also help to impart a country look.
  • Branches, twigs with berries and greens - These may be found at your favourite florist, in your backyard, or while on a stroll in the park. The more natural, the better.
  • One final hint: If you're using this arrangement as a centrepiece, remember to keep it at or below your guests' sightlines so they can easily see each other across the table.
