Sicilian Sunburst

Ingredients
  • fresh pizza dough - available from bakeries and grocers
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • several sun dried tomatoes stored in oil, thinly sliced 'julienne' style
  • extra virgin green olive oil
  • sliced pitted olives
  • thin slices prosciutto, shredded
  • 1 cup or less grated mozzarella cheese
Method

Allow pizza dough to sit in its plastic bag at room temperature for a few hours. Pre heat oven to 400 degrees before rolling out the dough on a floured work surface with a floured rolling pin to desired thickness. Place rolled dough on a flat baking pan or pizza pan and spread tomato sauce, top with attractively arranged toppings in the quantities you enjoy and lightly sprinkle with a moderate amount of cheese.

Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until cheese bubbles and crust appears slightly risen and golden.



Garden Delight Vegetarian Pizza

Ingredients

  • fresh pizza dough
  • pesto sauce
  • vine ripened tomatoes
  • roasted red peppers
  • rapini
  • mozzarella cheese
  • pitted, large, black Kalamata olives
  • freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Method

Allow pizza dough to sit in its plastic bag at room temperature for a few hours. Pre heat oven to 400 degrees before rolling out the dough on a floured work surface with a floured rolling pin to desired thickness. Place rolled dough on a flat baking pan or pizza pan and spread tomato sauce and then pesto, top with attractively arranged toppings in the quantities you enjoy and lightly sprinkle with a moderate amount of cheese. Picasso's Blue Period Pizza

Ingredients

  • fresh pizza dough
  • pesto
  • chicken breast, sauteed in butter, cooled and sliced in thin strips
  • 1 bulb of roasted garlic - brushed with extra virgin olive oil, roasted whole at 350 degrees for 30 - 45 min.
  • fresh whole blueberries
  • thickly grated Swiss cheese
