Episode 512: Space Boy
Seeing Stars
It was a starry night...

We scoured the universe for a perfect idea for the ceiling in your kid's bedroom. When you look to the skies, what do you see? Glow-in-the-dark stars, of course.

Ingredients:

  • black matte board
  • scissors
  • glow-in-the-dark paint
  • paint brush
  • putty (or stick tack)

Method:

Cut out pieces of matte board into star shapes (you can also do planets, rockets, space ships; anything that's spacey).

Dip your paint brush into paint and work it across the entire surface of your star.

Once it dries, add putty or stick tack onto the back of it and stick it onto your kid's ceiling.

Turn out the lights, and watch the glow. We suspect that it will not only be coming from the ceiling, but also from your kid's face.

When you're hit over the head by an idea as good as this one, you'll be seeing stars as well.
