Here is a recipe for the perfect complement to your tasty trout: Lemon and Dill Sauce.
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 white onion, finely chopped
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup water
- 1 cup white wine (optional)
- juice of one lemon
- zest of one lemon
- salt to taste
- chopped dill
Heat vegetable oil in a medium saucepan.
Add onion to pan. Stir, and allow to cook until translucent.
Add flour. Stir, and allow to cook for one minute.
Add water and wine. Stir, and allow to thicken.
Add lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and chopped dill. Stir.
