You may not have noticed this, but boutonnieres have gotten a lot smaller nowadays. The scale has gone way down regarding men's florals. Nowadays, a little bit of foliage goes a long way.
A tiny sprig of rosemary makes a lovely boutonniere, but you can also go with something slightly unusual, such as a seedpod. With a simple leaf placed behind it, a seedpod makes a great boutonniere. As an option, you could add a tiny sprig of hydrangea blossom. Perfect as a little accent if it is also part of the bridal bouquet.
