One Stop Shopping
Organization! That's the ticket...
When I anticipate a busy work week ahead of me, I like to plan my meals ahead of time. I'd like to share with you my ideas on what to buy and a way in which you can prepare meals from Monday to Friday without ever feeling like you have eaten the same thing twice.

Here's how we stretched 1 shopping trip to the grocery store into nine wonderful meals:

  • Monday:   for lunch: a BLT Sandwich; for dinner: Chicken Soup
  • Tuesday:   for lunch: a Chicken Salad Sandwich; for dinner: Sloppy Joes
  • Wednesday:   for lunch: leftover Chicken Soup; for dinner: burgers
  • Thursday:   for lunch: Chili; for dinner: Spinach Salad with Tuna
  • Friday:   for lunch: Tagliatelle a la Carbonara

As you can see, many of the menu items which we chose incorporate a lot of the same things. The chicken which we purchased could be used for the soup and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. The beef - for the Sloppy Joes, chili, and also the burgers. The bacon could be used for the BLT Sandwich, the Spinach Salad, and also the Tagliatelle. As you can see, we tried to be smart and healthy, easy and thrifty, and fast and tasty!
